Set to HD for best viewing quality. I just got section 2 of 6 layout modular sections finished almost with scenery. I still need road stripes, signs and other small details. I’ve had these Walthers Railroad crossing signals for over a year with a controller and finally got to installing them. My friend Austin (seaboard1321) traded with me a real, broken electronic crossing bell. It was from a destroyed railroad crossing hit by a truck so, the bell is no longer as loud as it used to be and was thrown in a trash pile to be thrown away near the tracks where my friend Austin found it and saved it from being destroyed. This low volume is perfect however for placing under an HO Scale layout and providing a realistic sound level for HO Scale. It only runs off low voltage DC power so, it’s hooked up to the same MRC transformer as my crossing signal controller. There are no sensors on the tracks the signal system is all controlled manually by remote control. These remote controls turn power on and off at the power outlet and these systems are available at stores like Meijer & Walmart for a reasonable price. I am very satisfied with how the system went together. I’ve had a lot of help from my good friends at BooCoo trains HO Modular group in the building of this layout and without their help I would probably not have a layout. I’ll be doing more in-depth layout update videos soon. I’ve so far got 2 of 6 layout sections done with scenery. The train in this video is powered by my Santa Fe GE Wide-cab which my friend Brennen (AmtrakCSXRailfan) installed sound in recently for me. The freight cars are all new cars which I got recently.
