Part 3 in the series.. This time about: Track plan & buildings

It’s always an exciting proces to decide the final track plan.. My choice was to have a few sidings to industry buildings on one side of the layout and.. well nothing on the other… The idea is to split the layout in two sections.. Maybe I’ll have different scenery on each side.. So far the side with the sidings are planned..

I bought the buildings together and they were pretty cheap and already more or less weathered.. Still work to do though..

As an experiment I decided to make my own cement plant.. Just for the fun of it.. I’m still limited to a height of approx. 18 centimeters, so those silos are not the tallest ones around..

The layout is painted to give a base color before the scenery is applied..

Next up in part 4: The track and buildings are glued down and it’s time for ballasting..

So far the costs are:
Building materials – 90 Euro
Tracks & rolling stock – 175 Euro
Buildings – 15 Euro

Total costs – 280 Euro
