(Update #4) Although I’m not a model railroad expert, I strive for railroad fun … with limited funds. In this series of videos, you’ll see how I built my N-scale layout–from the dream, to the planning, to the finished railroad empire. While many people have large areas for railroads, I only have a corner of Bella’s room. (Bella’s our hamster.) Let me explain: each evening while we sit on the floor and play with her, she explores the many empty cereal boxes we’ve strewn on the floor. My railroad is 13 inches off the floor–high enough that Bella can’t chew on the wires and low enough that I can sit on the floor and still run my trains. In this update, you’ll see me wire the turnout/switches and the train running. My goal is to show that just about anyone can have a model railroad–even in a small space–and set-up is very easy. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Most of all, thanks a million for watching. Thanks also to my YouTube friends–for your friendship & encouragement–and you know who you are. Please stop by again.
