The modified hall so far. The loco is tender driven, powered by 2x 365 motors running 18 volts, it is geared to do 90mph and has a useable tractive effort of 2kg, i would need to add a lot of weight to get any more pulling power or power both loco and tender. It is controlled by a peter spoerer ESC and an ” rc trains ” controller that can handle 12 trains at once. All the axles are sprung and the leading bogie has a centering spring, the rear driving axle has 3mm of play to allow cornering on 8 foot radius. Buffers and axle gaurds came from Garden railway specialists and the chimney, smoke box door and dome came from walsall models. I cut the chassiz from steel, boiler is plasticard filled with resin, cab, running boards and tender are all welded steel. It will be painted in br livery once finished, it needs, coupling rods, lamp irons, hand rails, name plates, shed plates, cab detail to look in a reasonably finished state. Hopefully i can add a sound card at some point.
