Kit and scratch built model locomotives from the Southern region in 1938 built by and discussed with my dad in this video.

This is a very special video in many ways. Dad dedicated himself to building these marvels and I have shared a number with you in the past, I thought it would be amazing if dad himself could appear and help describe how he made them.

Finding him in good health, we fetched him and set up this video.

I really hope you enjoy it, it’s a very personal tour of our joint hobby and despite being elderly now and suffering from life’s hardships, dad seemed really well when describing his efforts.

You will see a LBSCR C2, LBSCR E1, LSWR D15 and one of the famous LSWR T9s.

Some photos appear from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ and following thier terms of use I provide attributions in the video and here:

Your dad's models are really impressive and quite stunning. It would be interesting, informative and entertaining to see you do such a thing, and it might help me and a lot of other people to be taught such a fine skill.

Great little video Mike with you and your dad it reminded me of a program that was on TV back in the 1970s when I was a kid called Model World . With you and your dad giving a insight to how he built his trains .                                     Donny ( AKA DonnyRailMan)
